Stewed Soy Sauce Pork

Ingredients (serves 4)

1 kg pork (thigh meat, cubed)
3-4 tbsp dark soy sauce
1 tbsp light soy sauce
1-2 litres water
2-3 tbsp sugar
2 cloves garlic (smashed)
salt to taste


1 Season the pork with the soy sauces and pinch of pepper for 1/2 hour.
2 Heat a wok. Add 1 tbsp of oil, fry the smashed garlic and pork to seal the meat.
3 Add water, salt and sugar. Bring to a boil.
4 Transfer to an electric slow cooker. Stew on low for 3-4 hours till pork is tender.

tip!
For variety, add soy bean cakes and boiled eggs.
